Propagate by root division every Year, and by bulbils (top sets) every season
 
Edible Parts:  Greens, for most of the year, just cut off what you want to use, the bulb will grow more.  Bulb, by Fall the singular bulb may grow to the sie of a leek, and may be used like leeks, with stronger flavor.  Topset onions:  these are compact bulbs or bulbils that develop through the Spring and Summer .. they may be used to start new colonies, or used like normal (albeit tiny) onions.
